Online store development

An online store is an integral part of modern business. Industry estimates show that hundreds of thousands of people shop online every day, and e-commerce sales grow year over year.

Components of a successful online store

Sales-driven design

It's not just about "looking good" — it's about usability. A balance of design and UX, understanding buyer expectations and modern web standards — that's the foundation of a store that converts. Before ordering development, review the contractor's portfolio.

Uninterrupted operation

Downtime is unacceptable: every error is a reason for customers to go to a competitor. You need reliable hosting, a proven CMS, and a team to provide support. At Hub-Studio we can handle the full cycle: development, hosting, maintenance.

Easy product discovery

If a product exists but can't be found due to confusing navigation or weak search — that's a lost sale. Categories, filters, and sorting are planned at the wireframe stage.

Detailed product information

Photos, price, specs, reviews, shipping, and payment — everything that removes objections and builds trust. Content and product card structure are part of the development process.

Effective calls to action

"Buy," "Add to cart," "Order," "Submit inquiry" — buttons and flows should lead to the target action with no unnecessary steps.

Marketing activities

The store is just the beginning. You need SEO, PPC, social media, email, promotions, and regular product and content updates.

Quality service

Service quality and responsiveness affect repeat purchases and reputation. Respond to reviews — both positive and negative.

Building an online store is the start of a growth journey; what follows is channel development and service improvement.

Frequently asked questions about online stores

Platform, timelines, payments and shipping, content management, and support — answers to the key questions.

01. What platform do you use to build online stores?

We choose the stack based on the project: for catalogs up to a few thousand SKUs and standard scenarios we typically use OpenCart or WooCommerce; for non-standard logic, marketplaces, and high loads — custom development on Laravel/Node. The platform decision is made together after analyzing requirements.

02. How long does it take to launch an online store?

A store with a typical structure and basic integrations — 4–8 weeks. Complex projects with custom functionality, multilingual support, or 1C/warehouse integrations — 2 months and up.

03. What's included in the price and what counts as additional work?

The price covers the scope agreed in the estimate: design, markup, basic catalog and cart functionality, agreed integrations, and content population per spec. Anything outside the estimate is quoted separately — no surprises on the invoice.

04. Which payment systems and shipping providers can be connected?

Payments: Stripe, LiqPay, Fondy, WayForPay, cash on delivery. Shipping: Nova Poshta, Ukrposhta, in-store pickup, courier delivery with rate calculation. We connect the modules you need and configure them for your logistics.

05. Can products be imported from 1C, Excel, or another CMS?

Yes. We do one-time imports from CSV/XLSX/XML, as well as ongoing sync with 1C, MySklad, Prom.ua, Rozetka, and other systems — exchanging products, stock levels, prices, and orders on a schedule or in real time.

06. Do you handle SEO for categories and product pages?

During development we build in clean URLs, Product/Offer/BreadcrumbList schema, templated meta tags, sitemap, and speed optimization. Ongoing SEO is a separate service.

07. Do you support multilingual and multi-currency stores?

Yes. Multiple interface and catalog languages, currency switching with automatic conversion at the current rate, separate domains or subdomains per market — we plan all of this from the start so you don't need to rebuild later.

08. What happens after launch: support, updates, training?

We hand over access and a guide for working with the admin panel, and on request record video training for your content manager. We then offer support packages: updates, monitoring, revisions, and feature development.
